By the beginning of 7th Pass, all but a few traces of where the humans of Pern came from remain. From their history the people know to expect the dreaded Thread to fall when the Red Star appears in the sky and then the dragonriders of Pern ready themselves to fight the deadly pores to prevent them from devouring all in its path.
Enkala Weyr has had its share of troubles – an accident with the Junior Queen with going Between along with her rider and not coming out; the general decline in morale; the lack of finances and resources and the continuing and growing mistrust and disdain of the Holders and other settlers surrounding the Weyr. The new weyrleaders -- a transfer Queen -- trying to sort out the problem, the rest of Pern isn't making it easy on the radical little Weyr. A vicious attempt to poison the dragon population almost caused its downfall and now riders from other Weyrs are encroaching to cease control over Enkala. But Thread is coming soon! Will Enkala have the numbers to last a Fall?

Latest news: The Weyrlings are having their first flying lessons and Enkala Hold is being build near the Weyr and as such the influx of holders at the Weyr is increasing. Combined with the still rowdy relations between the Istan riders and the Enkalans there is a lot of friction at the Weyr.
Wanted: Weyrlings (all colours!), Weyrfolk, Holders for the new hold, Crafters and of course, Dragonriders (bronzers and brown riders!)!
