(((After season 7 of Buffy and in the middle of season 5 for Angel.
This is of course a AU plot. Some things are going to be very different but some things will have still happened. Buffy and the Scooby Gang have moved to LA after the destruction of Sunnydale and the Hellmouth there. Set around the year 2006.)))
It all starts out with a spell but a vindictive witch named Amy Madison. She still wasn't through with the Scooby Angel. She had found a way to make the gang's world be turned upside down. The spell causes Buffy and Angel to be drawn to one another. No one knew that they were meeting because Buffy just up and left her apartment one day. Their love was still very strong and the spell made it's point by intensifying that feeling. When they came together, their feelings took over and the ended up making love for the third time in their long history together. Of course the clause was still there and Angel once lost his soul by being with her. Angel then locked Buffy up in the basement of his Hotel.
The gang search high and low for Buffy for months but found no sign or her or the fact that Angel had turned evil once again. He hid it very well. During these months Buffy realized that she was pregnant and that it was Angel's child. It wasn't long before Angel knew this too. After all he already produced one child, a son named Connor. During this time, things were also happening to the Scooby gang. Willow and Xander most of all. Someone from her past reappears one day. Willow's last relationship was with Kennedy, a slayer but the young girl had recently been killed. Before that though, their relationship had sort of fizzled out but they had remained together. One morning, Willow wakes up to a familiar smell. She thought she was dreaming but when she opened her eyes, Tara Maclay was standing in front of her.
It was revealed that The Powers That Be felt that they owed them something, Willow in particular and so they brought Tara back from the dead for her. She was the same age as when she died and was very much human once again but with souped up Wiccan powers and a nifty knew little gift. Tara would not die a second time. Instantly they Willow and Tara embraced and pretty much picked up where they had left off. Now as for Xander. Since Anya's death, Xander hadn't really been with anyone, well that the others knew about. His feelings were very much involved with someone but they had been keeping a secret until the right time. His secret love affair was with the now adult Dawn Summers. Finally their feelings matched one another. They could no longer hold back and had been seeing each other for months.
As the months wore on, Buffy neared her due date on the birth of her child. Angelus made sure to take care of her so as not to hurt the child. Once she delivered though, all bets were off. Which she did only two days past the due date. Buffy gave birth to a daughter. She named the little girl Samantha Joyce. Instantly the child was taken away from both Angelus and Buffy. She had a suspicion that he knew where the child was being taken but she never got the chance to ask. Truth be known though, the child had been taken by the Senior Partners and sent to an alternate reality. A couple days later, Angelus took Buffy out of the cage. She tried to escape and it angered him. He attacked her and in the end, actually changes her into a vampire by force before he even realized what he was doing. Of course it was took late to change the outcome. Buffy, the slayer was now what she had always feared, she was now a vampire. To make matters worse, she does not recall ever having a child.
With Buffy gone, Faith stepped up and took over for her with the Scooby Gang. Since their were more than one slayer now, every other place was pretty much taken care of too. Giles was around still. Acting as Head Watcher and father figure to most all the gang. Spike was of course brought back but instead of staying around, he made it a point to get his own place but he also helps the gang like he always did. Preferring to stay away from Angel as much as possible. Wesley and Fred were together but of course she died and became Illyria. Gunn is in deep depression over the fact that he helped the artifact come through customs. Wesley is taking on the role of protector of Illyria because she still reminds him of Fred and he can't bare to loose her completely. They are falling in love.
So what happens when one day Buffy escapes and shows up at the Scooby Gang head quarters? She knows what has happened to her and she confides in her best friends Willow and Xander. Buffy doesn't have a soul but she is able to know right from wrong and is able to choose between being evil and good but it's hard. Will they accept her? Will they go after Angel for what he has done? What they don't know is that once Angel violently attacked Buffy and changed her, the spell of Amy's was broken? The results of the actions cannot be undone. Amy is happy to have destroyed the gang's lives. It was better than she had hoped for. Angelus reverts back to Angel and still has the memories of what he has done to Buffy. Will they work past it? Will Angel ever forgive himself? Will Buffy ever forgive him?
Another twist. One day a young woman arrives out of the blue. She looks familiar but they know they have never met her before. She tells them that she goes by the name of S.J. Nickname of course. She doesn't know too much about her history but she knows that she is unique and needs help understanding what she is. The gang take her in and promise to help her. S.J. is drawn to Buffy and her to S.J. No one knows why but they are sure to find out soon enough. What's going to happen when they learn that S.J. is actually Samantha Joyce Summers, the daughter of a slayer and a vampire? What will happen when S.J. meets her father Angel and learns what he has done to her mother Buffy? Their world is turned upside down but they are all trying to cope. Life is sometimes all about Blood & Chaos.
