"Oh, what to do. What to do."
She could stay here with the clan. Or she could leave to explore the world outside of the camp. Actually she wanted to leave so she could escape the clan. She wanted to stay! She really did! But... they didn't approve of her. They didn't. Not at all. She didn't understand why. Oh, oh! She did! She did know why but... why didn't they approve of the demons? It wasn't like they were all evil. They were good. Helpful too.
The young elf felt so alone.
Merrill's hazy eyes refocused on the light that was emitting from their hands. The light was rather small and in the shape of a sphere. It lit the area the space she was in, bouncing off the stone walls and shining on her face. The palm of her hand trickled red from the cut she had sliced earlier. It was blood magic... but it had created a bright green light, kind of yellowish too. The light was alluring to the elf that sat facing the stone face of the small mountainside. Merrill had traveled a little ways from camp so she could get some quiet, and use her magic without getting lectured. The clan had been traveling from place to place more frequently. For the past few days they had been settled not to far from Lake Calenhad. There seemed to be so much more darkspawn roaming the land lately. She didn't like them. They were tall with ugly faces and frankly, they smelt really bad.
A sigh slipped past her lips.
Even if she did leave the clan, Merrill wasn't sure where she'd go. She had never been away from the clan before. She wondered what it be like to explore the world, er Ferelden anyways. The stories her clan told of the shem scared her. And, and how did they live in such large clans? She'd seen the big city's as they traveled. There clans were so big... how did they function?
Humans were so confusing.
