Join us, brothers and sisters. Join us in the shadows where we stand vigilant
Greywyn Lockhart
Name: Greywyn Lockhart[/size]
Age: 24
Sex: Male.
Race: Human.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Eye Colour: Greywyn sees the world through two sapphire eyes. Usually lacking of any sort of energy yet a single ting of curiosity lurks behind the otherwise lazy looking eyes.
Hair: Greywyn's hair is of a dark raven shade. Being from Antiva you'd expect the usual long flowing, shiny, well-kept hair of a noble. However, from a young age his Mother was frustrated to find that his hair was as untameable as a Dragon. Since his childhood Greywyn has always kept his hair short, rebellious, unkempt locks of onyx spike out in every direction giving him a rather lazy bed head look.
Height: 179.2 cm
Weight: 66.1 kg
Notable tattoos/scars/birthmarks: A few scars along his body and minor ones on his face. His body is covered in various tattoo's he has gotten through his life, most having a tribal appearance to them.
General Clothing: Greywyns armour is made from heavy leather hide that has been reinforced with steel studs. The finely crafted hide has been dyed a blue colour. His boots and gauntlets have also had steel plates strapped to them for boosted protection. Noticeably the steel plate gauntlets have the insignia of wolf's. His belt features many pouches holding various herbs and plants used to make potions and poisons as well as a few bits and pieces he can use to make a trap or two. The belts buckler features a crow with it's wings out stretched, a play on the famous Crow Assassins of his homeland.
Weapons:
Crow Daggers
Being from Antiva it's not unusual that Greywyn has these fine weapons in his possession. Being more like short swords than actual daggers, their effectiveness cannot be argued. Made from fine silverite, these daggers were gifts from his rich merchant Mother and blacksmith Father and they hold quite a bit of sentimental value to the man who takes care to maintain the blades to the highest standard possible. The only other thing of note is the engraving near the hilt of the blade. The engraving itself being of the outline of a bird of some kind with it's wings spread out as if flying up the blade itself. The bird of course probably being a crow.
Longbow with Flame
A fine example of Antivan craftsmanship. The bow is made from fine Whitewood. The smooth ashy blue surface is covered in white and silver decorations and embellishments that make it stand out as Antivan made. Greywyn may also choose to use a flame arrow instead of a regular arrow, this gives his attacks even more power as the arrows fire lights up a target. However, he only carries a few of said arrows in his quiver at a time.
Throwing Knives
The last of Gryewyn's weapons are finely crafted throwing blades that Greywyn himself has fashioned. Being able to pierce leather and tear through skin. The weapons are not deadly unless dipped with a poison or if they hit the neck, instead Greywyn uses them to cripple and hamper a targets arms or legs before a melee battle. These weapons are place on ammo belts of sorts, one that wraps loosely around his waist, overlapping the belt that holds up his pants, the others on a bandoleer that wraps around his chest.
Pets: N/A
Likes: Smoking, Drinking, Women, Training, Treasure Hunting, Tinkering.
Dislikes: Spiders, Undead, Darkspawn, Thugs and the likes.
Strengths:
Agility - Years of fighting have taught Greywyn one very important lesson. It is far better to dodge than to block. Due to his use of lighter weaponry and his light armor it is easier for Greywyn to simply dodge attacks sloppy attacks and then make a quick counter strike, rather than block a foes attacks and wait t'ill they are tired enough for him to over power them. His strength is that he can quickly take down a foe, either with carefully thought out counter strikes in vital positions.
Adaptable - Quick on his feet and a quick thought process means that Greywyn can quickly adapt to changes in battle and in normal day life. Give him a few bits of junk and he'll make something useful from it. Fling his blade from his palm and he'll just as quickly make use of yours. This man has many tricks up his sleeve that have helped keep him alive all these years.
Observant - Having experience in various crafting jobs such as blacksmithing has given Greywyn a keen set of eyes. Being able to notice the tiny things, looking past the bigger picture and seeing that which can lurk behind. He'll notice the most subtle of tracks in low light or indeed if a companion is hiding something from him. Hiding a trap or indeed lying to Greywyn are hard feats indeed due to his keen eyes and knowledge of body language.
Weaknesses:
Spiders - Greywyn HATES the buggers. So much so that he's froze up on more than one occasion when he's come face to face with a giant spider while exploring caves. His phobia is something that in the past has put his companions in harms way, but he does his best to cope with his fear when the time comes.
Woman - Due to his up bringing Greywyn treats woman with great respect and will go out of his way to help one in need. It also means he is quite hesitant to hurt a woman and will usually avoid confrontation with one. If he is fighting one he will go for non-lethal blows, seeking to instead knock them out or otherwise detain them.
Treasure - Greywyn's eyes are those of a magpies. He loves shiny things and expensive booty. The promise of treasure has led him on many an adventure and he has gone through many gauntlets full of traps to get some pretty things that others wouldn't. Indeed a strange quirk.
Class: Rogue.
Specialization: Duelist.

Character History:
Greywyn's life itself was a mistake of sorts. You see, his Father was an Antivan Crow whose mission was to kill a rich merchant. His Father followed out his mission. Tailing the merchant and his guards through a busy market district. In a flash he had killed the merchants guards in a rapid volley of arrows before he turned his bow on the merchant himself, ready to end his life then and there. However, a young woman threw herself in front of the corrupt man, protecting him with her own body so that Greywyn's father did not have a clean shot. The assassin was confused as to why the woman would put herself in harms way to protect a man that did not deserve to live, he saw the fire in her eyes and he instantly fell in love. He escaped into the busy crowds, having failed his mission he returned to the Crows who in turn punished him, beating him to near death before dumping him in the streets with what they thought a fatal dagger wound. As he lay there dying the elf's mind filled with thoughts of the woman that he had set eyes on mere hours ago, comforting himself with what could have been as he died. Then he died...
Or at least, he thought he had as he drew one last sharp breath before falling unconscious. He woke up a few days later in the same woman's home, she having found him in the streets near death took him to her home and nursed his wounds. The rest is history as they would say. They fell in love and had a child, Greywyn. Born of an Elven Father and a Human Mother. Both loved him dearly and watched as he grew into a man, his Father trained him in the art of combat when he wasn't busy with his new profession as a blacksmith. His Mother home schooled him and made sure he grew up to be a man of intellect and not just block head fighter. When he turned nineteen he began to do small time mercenary work, taking care of giant rats and other such small deeds and with time and experience he began to take on larger more dangerous work.
A few years later he left Antiva and began to work in Ferelden, working as both a mercenary and a blacksmith, fixing traveller and soldiers armour when he wasn't out slaying bandits and the likes. He was present when the King's army clashed against the rumoured blight and he fought like a demon to relinquish the Darkspawn. Near the end of the battle a Hurlocks great sword tore through his armor and left a gaping wound in his chest, he would have died were it not for a Cricle Mage's healing magic, he was kept from death but in no shape to continue battling. He watched as a Grey Warden fought against dozens of Darkspawn, not taking a moment to rest as he gave the Circle Mage time to heal Greywyn and to help him retreat from the battle. As he was carried away Greywyn saw the Grey Warden take blow upon blow, using his body as a shield in order to protect the wounded and despite such damage his soul continued to push him to fight until all the wounded he was helping to protect were evacuated. The image of the Warden was burned into the back of his mind and it was from that point that he dreamed of becoming a man just like that Warden.
After escaping to Lothering like so many other refugees Greywyn took up enough mercenary work to help him get to Denerim where he now continues his work, living his days in training his mind and body for the battles to come and ready himself for the Blight. Secretly he now holds the ambition to become a Grey Warden a and live an honourable life of self-sacrifice, something he thinks his family would approve of.
Who knows just what will happen in the young Rogues life?
Only time can tell...
